What To Expect When You're Resurrecting

The resurrected infant needs extra care and attention.  You must remember that it's jaw muscles and teeth (if they've come in yet) are not strong enough to chew through tough bone or muscle.  Start it on a diet of glutimus maximus or belly fat.  Breastfeeding is an excellent choice to provide nutrients to your zombie child. When he or she gets a little older you can spoil them with a bit of the brains too, as a reward for good behavior of course!

I had the hardest time turning that pot into a baby.  Proportion can be difficult when your pieces are so small and you're trying to work around an pre-existing part of the original sculpture.  I had the same problem with Boppo The Clown and Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Bombers.  I know, there's a boob in the picture.  I told myself when I started that while my pieces would be gruesome I would stay away from being crass...but it's a non-sexual boob and it helps with the joke of how to breastfeed a zombie baby so I'm making an exception this time.

I'm donating this piece to a contest http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=360660954028191&set=a.246880348739586.57530.246879415406346&type=1&theater both as my submission to win an original painting by David Irvine of gnarledbranch.com but also that he can give it away as a consolation prize.  To enter for the contest yourself all you have to do is 'like' the monsteraday facebook page which you will do anyway once you see how awesome it is...and submit to David an original piece of Hallowe'en inspired craft/artwork etc. you've done yourself.  Deadline is October 31st at 10pm so get working! and good luck!

Again I apologize for the duration between pieces...it feels like we've been so very busy, and yet I couldn't really tell you what I've done!  I'd like to tell you the next one will be quicker but I'd likely be wrong.  I'm glad I got this out before Hallowe'en though.

Hope you have a safe and happy Hallowe'en, haunt responsibly.
